Recreated in 1:8 scale car model kit by Pocher, the 1972 Lotus 72D in the black and gold John Player Special livery. Made of premium die-cast metal (including some plastic parts), features 477 pre-painted pieces, to form one of the most beautiful and iconic Formula One racing cars.
This amazing Pocher model features a detail from the monocoque chassis right up, through the suspension and engine components to the incredibly detailed cockpit. All logos are faithfully recreated and with real rubber tires, this impressive 1:8 model will become the star of any collection of motorsport heroes, famous cars, or pieces of art.
Its distinctive wedge-like design possessed advanced aerodynamics which was years ahead of its rivals. With a legendary Ford Cosworth DFV 3.0 V8 engine and the car’s slipstreamed design, the Lotus 72D could produce higher top speeds while also creating more downforce for higher cornering speeds.
These premium quality kits contain a range of materials including metal, rubber, textiles and premium quality plastic. Other key components such as the body shell, front and rear chassis, suspension and steering are injected in high quality die-cast metal and are fully painted.
